Privacy

What we store

  • Public Steam data from the Steam Web API: name, avatar, profile visibility, Steam level, CS2 hours (if public), ban counts and how many of your friends are banned (if your friend list is public).
  • Public FACEIT data from the FACEIT Data API, if your Steam account is linked to FACEIT: nickname, level, Elo, lifetime stats and FACEIT bans.
  • Match stats calculated from CS2 demos that players import. One import contains all 10 players in the match.
  • If you connect your account: your SteamID and your match history authentication code (encrypted). We use it only to fetch your new match share codes from Valve.

Hide my profile

Sign in through Steam and click Hide my profile. It takes effect immediately and doesn't need a request to us:

  • your player page shows “Hidden profile”,
  • on match scoreboards you appear as “Hidden player”, without stats,
  • the API returns nothing about you,
  • your stored Steam profile data and auth code are deleted, and auto-import stops.

How strikes work

ZeroStrike gives every player a strike count: 0 = Clean, 1 = Sus, 2 = Very sus, 3+ = Red flag. Each strike is based on something you can check, and the player page always shows the reason:

  • Ban on record: any VAC or game ban on the Steam account.
  • Banned friends: at least 5 friends, and 25% or more of the friend list, with VAC or game bans.
  • Fresh account: Steam account younger than a year, or fewer than 100 CS2 hours.
  • Stats outlier: over 5+ imported matches, 65%+ headshot kills together with a 1.5+ rating.
  • Aim anomaly: over many fights, a median reaction time under 120 ms, or the crosshair on nearby enemies behind walls 15%+ of the time.

Thresholds are calibrated on our own data (players banned after imported matches) and on the CS2CD dataset by Mille Mei Zhen Loo & Gert Lužkov (CC BY 4.0), which contains anonymised matches with verified cheaters.

A private profile never earns a strike. We just show what we couldn't check. Strikes are signals, not proof of cheating. If you think a strike is wrong, you can hide your profile at any time.
