CS2 cheater checker
Paste a Steam profile and see the signs that matter: bans, banned friends, a fresh account and, once their matches are imported, aim stats measured from the demos.
What the checker looks at
- Steam bans: VAC bans and game bans on the account, and when the last one was.
- FACEIT: whether the linked FACEIT account has a cheating ban, plus its level.
- Banned friends: how many of the player's Steam friends are banned. Cheaters often play with other cheaters.
- Account age: how long the account has been on Steam. Accounts made recently stand out.
- Steam level, CS2 hours and Premier rating, when the profile shows them.
- Strikes: aim and reaction metrics from the player's imported matches that land far outside what most players do.
Strikes: what the demos show
Bans only catch the cheaters Valve has already caught. Strikes look at how someone actually plays. For every imported match we measure, among other things, how often the crosshair sits on an enemy who can't be seen, how fast a player hits an enemy who just appeared, how close the crosshair already is to an enemy's head, and kills through smoke and walls.
A metric becomes a strike when it lands in the top 2% of what verified clean players do. Values in the top 8% are marked unusual but don't count, because very good players get there too. The thresholds are calibrated on our own matches and on the CS2CD dataset, which contains matches with verified cheaters. The verdict goes from 0 strikes (clean) to 1 (sus), 2 (very sus) and 3 or more (red flag).
Strikes are signals, not proof. A player with three strikes is worth watching closely in the demo; it doesn't mean they're banned or going to be.
Check someone mid-match
- Press Tab in CS2 and click a player's name. Their Steam profile opens in the Steam overlay.
- Click the address bar and type a 0 in front of steamcommunity.com.
- You land on their ZeroStrike page, with their bans and stats.
Get stats for your lobbies
Strikes need matches. Connect your account and your matches are imported automatically, or paste a share code on the import page. Every import adds stats for all 10 players in the match, so the more people use it, the more players have strikes measured.
FAQ
- Is there a way to check if a CS2 player is cheating?
- Not with certainty, outside Valve's own systems. You can check the signs: VAC and game bans, banned friends, a new account, and stats that are far outside normal. ZeroStrike shows all of these for any public Steam profile.
- Does the checker show VAC bans?
- Yes. It shows VAC bans and game bans from Steam, how many there are and how long ago the last one was.
- Can someone with no bans still be cheating?
- Yes. Bans only show cheaters who have been caught. That's why ZeroStrike also measures aim and reaction stats from real match demos.
- Is the CS2 cheater checker free?
- Yes. Looking up players is free and doesn't need a sign-in. Connecting your account only adds automatic match imports.
